Brisbane Marathon Festival
Queensland’s oldest and biggest marathon event returns this August, and it’s fantastic opportunity for runners to get active and see Brisbane’s most famous landmarks at the same time. Distances will include the 45.2km Marathon, The Pedders 21.1km Half Marathon, 10km Run/Walk, 5km Run/Walk, and the 2km Mini Marathon. Alongside the races, the Brisbane Marathon Festival will be hosting entertainment, food, and beverages at the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens. Take part on August 5.
Smirnoff Mekka Wednesday
The Ekka is back this August, and to celebrate its return the Brisbane Racing Club will be hosting Mekka Wednesday: a day of races and upbeat festival sounds from the likes of ShockOne, Just a Gent, and more. Don’t miss it on August 15!
Discover and celebrate Indonesian culture at Pesta Rakyat, Brisbane’s biggest Indonesian event that’s been held annually since 2007. Open to all, Pesta Rakyat will host Indonesian festivities and Indonesian cuisine over one exciting day out. Join in the celebration at the Brisbane City Hall on August 19.
